Tambour Roll-Up Door
The tambour door is the classic appliance garage door style. It consists of narrow wood or plastic slats connected on a flexible backing that rolls up into a slot in the top of the cabinet when opened, similar to a roll-top desk. Tambour doors require no swing clearance in front of the cabinet, which makes them ideal for appliance garages on counter sections where adjacent cabinetry, a wall, or a window limits door swing.

Lift-Up Door

Standard Hinged Door

Electrical Requirements
An appliance garage needs at least one outlet inside, positioned at the back or side of the cabinet interior so that appliance cords plug in without running out through the door opening.
